Why can’t I buy Outpresso through Nespresso?
We don’t know. We think it would make the most sense. Why don’t you ask Nespresso directly, using this form.

Are there any delivery cost for me?
No. Deliveries of Outpresso within Switzerland are free of charge.

How long does it take to arrive (for deliveries within Switzerland)?
Usually it can be sent out within 2 business days. Orders of 1-2 Outpressos will arrive in a bubble envelope via A-Post. The mailing of 3 or more Outpressos will arrive via B post – (2nd day delivery.)

Can you mail Outpresso to other countries?
Yes we can. These deliveries are free of charge above an amount invoiced of 100 CHF. For orders with an amount invoiced below 100 CHF, a postal charge of 8 CHF will be added in the webshop directly. The delivery time depends on the country of destination. Normally, the goods will be sent by Swiss Post as Economy letter oder PostPac International Economy. Details on delivery times can be found on the website of the Swiss Post. For some countries of destination, the recipient can be charged for taxes, customs charges and other fees.

How big is Outpresso? Can it be easily stored in the kitchen?
Thanks to its compact size, (18cm long, by 6.8 cm wide, by 4 cm high), Outpresso can be easily stored in any kitchen. There is a hole on the back of the handle which allows it to be hung on the wall.

What material is Outpresso made of?
Outpresso is made of a high quality plastic material called POM (polyoxymethylen), which can be put in the dishwasher.

Can Outpresso be used with all coffee capsules?
No. Outpresso is specially designed for use with Nespresso aluminum capsules because they are the most used capsules. Many other capsules systems use capsules made from synthetic materials or paper.

Is there a mess when you use Outpresso?
No, thanks to the coffee ground container, the grounds don’t drop onto the table, but rather into the container which you can then dispose of – just like in this video:

Can I put the unused Nespresso capsules in with the aluminum recycling?
No, because of the weight balance. (There are approximately 7 times more coffee grounds than aluminum.) It can’t be mixed.

How good is the separation process?
The separation works very well. There is only 0.5 grams of coffee left from the original 7-10 grams after separation. As a result, it can be recycled.

Is it even worth it to recycle such a small aluminum capsule?
Yes. Although each capsule only contains 1 gram of aluminum, it’s worth it to recycle. The energy savings from 2 recycled capsules per day is, for example, larger than the energy use of a coffee machine or the average energy use of 2 cell phones per day.

Where are aluminum recycling centers?
Aluminum and tin recycling centers are located in most Swiss villages and towns. In some centers, aluminum and tin are collected separately. In other centers, these metals are put in the same containers and are separated later. You can find out here how it’s done in your town.

Is Outpresso a registered trademark?
Yes. The name Outpresso is registered and has a patent pending.
